Assessor

The assessor is a local government official who estimates the value of real property within the town boundaries. This value is converted into an assessment, which is one component in the computation of real property tax bills.

The Town of Rotterdam Department of Assessment has a public computer and printer available in the Town Hall.  You may access the PRO System, assessment roll, and relevant assessment forms.  The computer will be available during normal hours of operation.

Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Summer hours: June-September - 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m

The County approved a local law for the Volunteer FF/Ambulance Worker exemption.  This will go into effect for the 2024 roll.  Link to the web page below for more information

  • Taxable Status Date: March 1st
  • Tentative Roll Date: May 1st
  • Grievance Date: 4th Tuesday in May
  • Final Roll Date: July 1st
